Sonatina for Woodwinds, composed in 1998, is comprised of a neoclassical first movement, an aria in simple song form and a light-hearted rondo. It received its world premiere by Calico Winds (champions of the woodwind quintet repertoire) at the Sunday Muse Intergenerational Concerts in Los Angeles in 2000. It has also been performed by the North Wind Quintet and featured on the New Directions Series of the Bakersfield Symphony. It will make a delightful addition to any woodwind quintet program.
